Imagine in Indigo:

the clay resist project

In collaboration with local artists and fashion designers, Matisse Robinson, Coco Lindberg, Olivia Brennan, Annabel Davies, Mina Afkhami, Lyric Caramto, Arabella Littlefield, Chloe Pargas and Liam Barahona, this project set to bring together a community of people new to natural dye and print. In order to expand on what is traditionally thought of with textile prints, a clay mixture was used in replacement of printing ink while screen printing so that images would be blocked from indigo pigment while being dyed in an indigo vat. This allowed artists to work comfortably with their own designs while learning about the rich colors and tones natural indigo dye can produce.
